2023 Bond Proposal
On November 7, 2023, the West Ottawa community approved a $237 million bond proposal to invest in the future of our schools. This historic support allows the District to move forward with significant infrastructure improvements, new classrooms and gymnasiums at two elementary schools, and the construction of an Aquatics and Community Center to replace the beloved Harbor Lights Pool, which has served our community for more than 60 years.
This bond also supports many of our District initiatives, including the creation of outdoor classrooms at all nine elementary schools, flexible furniture that promotes collaborative learning, and the installation of BenQ interactive boards in every classroom throughout the District.
