ElementaryNorth Holland Elementary

I joined the West Ottawa team in 1994, and I have served the students of West Ottawa as a teacher, coach and now as the principal of North Holland Elementary. I was a classroom teacher and then reading interventionist for 22 years; teaching at Woodside Elementary, Lakeshore Elementary and Great Lakes Elementary. I hold a Bachelors of Arts degree in Special Education, Learning Disabilities from Hope College and a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Western Michigan University. I became the principal of North Holland Elementary in the summer of 2016. North Holland is a special place for me. My father and grandfather were raised on a nearby farm, and most of my aunts and uncles attended North Holland Elementary. Being the principal at North Holland Elementary allows me to give back to a community that has supported my family for generations. North Holland has a reputation for excellence, and I strive to ensure that all North Holland students receive a World Class educational experience.
