ElementaryWoodside Elementary School

Woodside Elementary provides many options and programs for all YK through fifth grade students. Woodside provides extended learning opportunities through an advanced math placement course in fifth grade and advanced language arts in grades Kindergarten through 5th grade. Woodside, also, offers after school transportation to the Boys & Girls Club of Holland.

Hello and welcome to Woodside Elementary School! I am Greg Rutten and am in my seventh year at Woodside Elementary and in my ninth year in West Ottawa Public Schools. Before coming to West Ottawa, I supported numerous public schools throughout southwest Michigan while working as an Outreach Specialist for Michigan State University. Prior to MSU, I worked as a teacher, principal and coach in various schools in Michigan. My college training include completion of my Bachelors and Masters degree at Western Michigan University. The teachers and staff at Woodside Elementary are wonderful! They truly care about all of the students and are committed to providing the best education and support a child can have. They are always willing to give advice and suggestions on how I can better support my child's learning at home, which has been very helpful and has made a big difference.
